Chapter 835: Looping Around
Villain Ch 835. Looping Around
The meal ended on a pleasant note, and soon they were making their way back to the Goldborne Mansion. It was already 3:00 PM by the time they left the café, and Allen couldn’t believe how long they had been out. But considering everything they had done, it made sense. They had covered a lot of ground, both literally and figuratively.
In the car, the rhythmic hum of the engine and the gentle swaying of the ride lulled Emma and Azura to sleep. This time, Allen was sure it was genuine. Their heads fell to his shoulders multiple times, and he had to adjust them to make sure they were comfortable. He couldn’t help but smile as he looked at them. Despite Azura being his cousin, he realized she had a lot in common with Emma.
There was a certain innocence and vulnerability in their sleep that made him feel protective.
As the car rolled through the gates of the Goldborne Mansion, Allen gently shook Emma and Azura awake. "Hey, we’re home," he said softly, not wanting to startle them.
Emma stirred first, stretching and yawning. "Already? I feel like we just got in the car," she mumbled sleepily.
Azura rubbed her eyes and blinked at Allen. "That was quick," she said, her voice still thick with sleep.
Allen chuckled. "We’ve been driving for almost an hour. You two were out like lights."
They both got out of the car lazily, still shaking off the remnants of their nap. The bodyguards moved efficiently, unloading the numerous shopping bags from the trunk. When Allen reached to grab his bags, one of the bodyguards stepped in front of him.
"Sir, we’ll take care of these," the bodyguard said firmly.
He noticed that there were no significant new developments in the threads he was following. Everything seemed to be in a holding pattern, the conversations looping around the same points without much new input. The threads discussing his previous action—how he managed to land a hit on the emperor—were still active, but the intensity had waned since yesterday.
The excitement had settled, with most players having already dissected and analyzed the event from every possible angle.
Sophia’s thread, once a hotbed of controversy and drama, had truly sunk into obscurity. The latest posts were sparse, and the most recent reply was from Red_King, who had questioned Sophia about why she was at Eyon Village yesterday. There was no response from Sophia, which was unusual given her usual eagerness to engage with the drama.
Allen guessed that Sophia had decided to lay low for a while, probably waiting for the storm of criticism to pass.
Allen couldn’t help but wonder about Sophia’s next move. He knew that Elio was under pressure to take action. The question was whether Elio would kick her out of the guild. If that happened, what would Sophia do? Would she stop playing the game altogether—a scenario Allen found quite appealing—or would she seek refuge in another guild?

The latter possibility was more likely, given Sophia’s tenacity and competitive nature.
Allen glanced at his phone one last time, noting the absence of new messages from the girls’ chat group. It was a good sign—they were probably all in the game. He took a deep breath and murmured to himself, "I guess it’s time to go online."
He finished the last sip of his tea. Setting the empty cup on the counter, he made his way to the bathroom to wash his face. The cool water was refreshing against his skin, helping to clear the lingering fatigue from the day’s activities. He dried his face with a soft towel, looking at his reflection in the mirror.
With a renewed sense of purpose, Allen walked over to his desk where his VR device sat waiting. He picked it up and settled into his chair. He put on the VR headset and logged in.
