Villain Ch 826. A Man Between Two Girls [Part 1]

Having settled their playful argument, the rest of the beach trip proceeded smoothly. Emma and Azura, perhaps chastened by Allen’s earlier intervention, were more obedient and followed his instructions closely. They continued snapping photos, this time with more focus and coordination.

Allen felt a mix of relief and satisfaction as they worked together. They captured some truly stunning shots of the beach, the pier, and the unique rock formations. The morning light cast everything in a warm, golden hue, adding a touch of magic to their photos.

After a while, they switched to taking selfies with their phone cameras. Emma and Azura crowded around Allen, their earlier tension forgotten as they posed playfully for the camera. They laughed and made silly faces, enjoying the moment.

"Okay, let’s try one with the pier in the background," Emma suggested, holding out her phone for a group selfie. They all squeezed together, grinning at the camera.

Azura, unable to resist a little tease, said, "Just make sure you don’t cut off my head this time, Emma."@@@@

Emma rolled her eyes but smiled. "I’ll try my best, Azura."

They snapped the photo, and when they looked at it, they burst into laughter. The picture was perfect.

Several times, Azura and Emma made remarks that had the potential to spark new arguments, especially Emma. But they usually stopped themselves, remembering Allen’s previous words. On the rare occasion when tensions seemed to rise, Allen only needed to give them a death stare to remind them that his threat was still valid.

For Allen, it was a bit unexpected. He was happy, of course, to see them getting along better, but it made him wonder if he was indeed that scary or if they respected him as a big brother.

With just one sip, both Emma and Azura drained their drinks, plopping onto the back seat with exaggerated sighs. They acted as if that short half hour on the beach had completely sapped their energy, slumping back in their seats with dramatic weariness.

"Oh, thank God for air conditioning," Emma said, her voice muffled as she leaned her head back, eyes closed.

"Seriously," Azura agreed, fanning herself with her hand one last time before letting it drop limply to her side. "I can’t believe how hot it was out there. I’m exhausted."

Allen couldn’t help but smile at their theatrics. "You two act like we just ran a marathon," he teased, though he understood their discomfort. "It was just a little bit of sun."

Emma opened one eye to glare at him playfully. "Easy for you to say, Mr. Photographer. You were in your element. We were melting out there."

Azura nodded in agreement, still slouched in her seat. "Yeah, Allen. You’re used to it. We’re not."

Allen chuckled, shaking his head. He was used to their dramatics by now, but he had hoped they would appreciate the beach more. Still, he couldn’t fault them for being uncomfortable in the heat.

The car continued its journey. Allen noticed the surroundings becoming more upscale. They were heading towards the elite shopping district where Emma usually shopped. He glanced at Emma and Azura, both of whom looked completely spent, and couldn’t help but doubt their energy levels for the impending shopping spree.

"Are you sure you guys are up for shopping?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. "You both look like you need a nap more than a retail adventure," he made sure.
