Chapter 162 Concert
Chapter 162 Concert
"Apologize." Su Heng's voice was calm and cold.
Jiang Man's eyes widened, "Why?"
"You acted on your own and contacted partners outside the company, causing dissatisfaction on their part." Su Heng looked at Jiang Man, "Who should bear the responsibility for this matter?"
When Jiang Man heard this, her body trembled slightly. She clenched her fists and frowned.
She walked towards Lu Ziyin and bowed slightly, "I'm sorry."
Lu Ziyin's eyes flickered, and a faint smile appeared on the corner of her mouth. "I hope Miss Jiang will abide by her duties in the future and not cross the line."
When Su Heng saw Jiang Man lowering her head, he felt uncomfortable. He crossed his fingers and said lightly, "Go out." He looked at her deeply, as if he had something to say.
Jiang Man nodded and looked at Su Heng. Seeing that he showed no reaction, a trace of sadness welled up in his heart.
But she still turned and left tactfully.
"Are you satisfied?" Su Heng said coldly.
Lu Ziyin nodded slightly. "Boss Su is truly fair and selfless." After that, he stood up and said, "I still have matters to attend to at the company. I'll take my leave now."
Jiang Man was still waiting for the elevator, looking listless. Lu Ziyin passed by her. "Have you seen his true face?" he said slowly. "When it comes to you and those cooperative projects, he won't hesitate at all."
He finished speaking and stepped into the elevator. Jiang Man followed closely behind him and pressed the floor button. "Whether I'm important or not is none of your business. I know what kind of person he is."
This sounds familiar. Yes, Su Heng once said the same thing.
The elevator arrived at the marketing department floor. Jiang Man walked out of the elevator without even looking at Lu Ziyin.
Lu Ziyin naturally felt her indifference, and a hint of gloom and anger flashed in his eyes.
He narrowed his eyes and pursed his lips.
When Jiang Man returned to the marketing department, her colleagues gathered around her and asked her why she went upstairs.
Jiang Man looked at the group of people, smiled, and said that he was going to be scolded.
"What can she do up there?" Sun Yong folded his arms and sneered.
Hearing that there was no gossip to dig up, everyone dispersed.
Jiang Man looked at his phone and found no calls or messages from Su Heng.
She curled her lips in frustration and sighed, not knowing what she was panicking about. She had no choice but to continue working to distract herself.
Chen Hao sat in his office, clutching two concert tickets. He narrowed his eyes and searched through his address book until he finally found Jiang Man's number. He typed a message, then deleted it, deciding to leave it for after get off work.
As it was almost time to get off work, Jiang Man took a sip of water and continued to work. It seemed that he would have to work overtime again tonight.
She was writing a report and looking up information online when suddenly her vision went dark. “Guess who I am?”
A laughing voice entered her ears.
Jiang Man sighed helplessly, "Chen Hao, stop making trouble."
"Sister-in-law, you are so boring." Chen Hao moved his hand away and looked at her with a smile.
Jiang Man spread her hands and said, "Life is boring." Her eyes were still fixed on the computer screen.
Chen Hao leaned against her desk and waved the ticket in his hand. "My girlfriend can't come today because of something. Sister-in-law, are you interested in accompanying me to the concert?"
Jiang Man picked up the water cup and took another sip, "Not interested."
Hearing this, Chen Hao immediately put on a bitter face and said, "Please."
Looking at his playful smile, Jiang Man was both angry and amused, "Don't stop me from doing my work."
"Sister-in-law, you can't bear to let me go to the concert alone, right?" He raised the corners of his mouth slightly, imitating Xuanxuan's cute expression.
The colleagues around all looked over here, but because the general manager was present, they did not dare to act rashly.
Jiang Man rubbed his temples and said, "I'll go."
"Agreed?" He looked at Jiang Man with a smile, "Then let's go."
"Wait..." Jiang Man looked at him helplessly, "I still have work to do."
Chen Hao glanced at the computer screen. "I can finish ten reports like this in one night. It's not difficult. I'll help you take a look now. You can go home first."
"Let me take another look." Jiang Man ignored him and continued browsing the information.
Chen Hao looked at Manager Lin who was not far away and asked, "When did our company start exploiting its employees like this?"
Manager Lin's forehead instantly broke out in sweat when he heard this. He walked up to Jiang Man and put on a big smile, "Jiang Man, there's no rush for the report. You can do it tomorrow."
Chen Hao nodded with satisfaction at his performance.
Jiang Man glanced at Chen Hao, and Chen Hao spread his hands, "Manager, I'll be done with my work here soon."
"It's okay, it's okay. Let's do it tomorrow." Manager Lin patted Jiang Man on the shoulder. "The company will not treat a good employee like you unfairly."
Chen Hao raised his eyebrows and gave Manager Lin an approving look.
"Sister-in-law, we can go now." Chen Hao looked at Jiang Man.
Jiang Man looked at him and sighed. He was finally defeated by this second-generation rich guy.
She packed her things and followed him downstairs.
As soon as they left, the marketing department immediately started talking about it.
Jiang Man followed Chen Hao out of the elevator and saw the iconic big red sports car at a glance. His eyelids couldn't help but twitch. This car was as flamboyant as Chen Hao's personality.
Sitting in the car, Jiang Man closed his eyes and tried to relieve his fatigue.
Chen Hao started the engine and his eyes gently swept across Jiang Man's profile.
The car arrived at the concert hall quickly, and there was still an hour before the concert started.
Chen Hao turned around and saw Jiang Man sleeping soundly. He felt reluctant and couldn't bear to wake her up.
Jiang Man lowered her head slightly, her sleepiness instantly awakened. She rubbed her hazy eyes and looked at Chen Hao, who was staring at her with his chin propped up. "Are we there yet?"
Chen Hao nodded slightly, "I'm early. Look at the door, people are coming and going."
Jiang Man yawned, looking a little lazy, "Sorry, I didn't sleep well last night."
"No problem." Chen Hao shook his head with a warm smile, "Let's go."
After parking the car, the two walked side by side into the venue and found a seat. Soon, the lights dimmed and a familiar melody began to play. Jiang Man looked up and his eyes suddenly fixed. "Is that a violin solo?"
"Yes." Chen Hao smiled and nodded. "How is it? Do you like it?"
The moving music echoed in his ears, and Jiang Man smiled faintly, nodding and shaking his head.
Chen Hao narrowed his eyes and stared at her intoxicated look, as if thinking about something.
The melody climbed again, and Jiang Man's fingers trembled unconsciously, as if he had also merged into the music.
"Have you learned violin before?" Chen Hao suddenly spoke, interrupting Jiang Man's thoughts.
Jiang Man seemed to come back to his senses, nodded, and looked away, "It's been a long time."
"Then why didn't you continue?" Chen Hao folded his fingers and placed them on his knees.
Jiang Man sighed softly, "There's no special reason, I just didn't continue."
