Chapter 941 Dark Lullaby
Chapter 941 Dark Lullaby
Villain Ch 941. Dark Lullaby
"They slow us down too much, and one wrong step can cost us a lot of time and health," Zoe added again.
"True," Shea nodded. "We need a place with manageable monsters and minimal obstacles."
Zoe thought for a moment. "What about the Crystal Caves?"
"The Crystal Caves have those light-sensitive creatures," Jane said. "They're not hard to fight, but opening the door to the next floor requires a lot of coordination with the light crystals. It's doable, but it can be a hassle."
"Hmm..." Alice muttered thoughtfully. "You know, how about slaughtering players in Black Castle?" she suddenly suggested, her idea causing the group to turn toward her with a mix of surprise and curiosity.
They were just about to voice their thoughts when Alice quickly explained further. "I mean, killing players can give us a lot of EXP, and we just need to go to the most crowded place and slaughter them for like around ten to fifteen minutes. I'm sure we can get a decent amount of EXP," she elaborated.
"Well," she continued, her expression serious. "We can't expect much loot, though. Killing players only gives us coins, and the amount is usually not much."
The group fell silent, considering her proposal. It was indeed a good idea, offering a quick way to rack up experience points, but it came with significant risks. The Black Castle was notorious for its high player traffic, and any PvP (player vs. player) encounters could quickly turn deadly if they were ambushed by other skilled players, teams or guilds.
"That's... bold," Zoe finally said, her eyes narrowing in contemplation. "It could work, but it's very risky."
"True," Jane agreed. "If we get ambushed, we could lose a lot of health and possibly even our lives. Plus, it's not like killing monsters where we can predict their patterns. Players can be unpredictable."
"But think about the EXP," Bella argued. "We're not looking for loot, just a quick boost in levels. Ten to fifteen minutes of intense PvP could be really beneficial." The excitement was clear from her voice.
Alice looked at Allen. "So, Black Castle? The altar?"
"Yes," Allen confirmed. "The altar. It should be crowded there, which means plenty of targets. We'll need to be quick and efficient."
Bella's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Let's go!"
The group moved swiftly to the portal room, a large, echoing chamber with a shimmering gateway leading to various parts of the Hell's Gate. They stood before the portal to the Black Castle, their avatars poised for the upcoming challenge. The tension was palpable as they exchanged last-minute glances, ensuring everyone was ready.
"Here we go," Allen said, his voice steady with determination. They stepped through the portal, and a flash of light engulfed them.
They emerged in the Black Castle's Altar, hovering mid-air like true villains. The altar was a grand, open space with towering pillars and ominous statues, lit by flickering torches that cast eerie shadows. As always, the place was teeming with players, some engaged in combat, others trading or strategizing.
A sadistic grin spread across Allen's face as he took in the scene. "Show time," he muttered under his breath. He began to sing his twisted lyrics, his voice carrying a dark, melodic tone.
"Hush now, little one, close your eyes, The Devil Emperor whispers lullabies," he sang.
The eerie melody sent shivers down the spines of the players below. Heads turned, eyes widened in recognition and fear as they saw the group hovering above, clearly ready for a fight.
"In the shadows, he weaves his dark spell, Drawing you into his underworld's hell," Allen sang again, his voice dripping with malevolent delight. His sadistic smile widened, his eyes gleaming with anticipation.
"Hello," he said, his voice echoing through the hall, a harbinger of the chaos to come.
The players gasped and their shock was clear. They scrambled, some trying to flee, others readying their weapons for a desperate defense. The atmosphere was electric with tension and fear.
