Chapter 923 Overanalyzing
Chapter 923 Overanalyzing
Villain Ch 923. Overanalyzing
She picked it up and saw it was from Allen.
Allen: Are you okay?
She hesitated for a moment, her fingers hovering over the keyboard. How could she explain what she was feeling? She took a deep breath and began to type.
Bella: I'm okay. Just... surprised. I didn't expect that to happen.
There was a brief pause before Allen replied.
Allen: Me neither. It's kind of incredible, though. Are you sure you're alright?@@@@
Bella bit her lip, her mind racing. She was about to type a response when another message from Allen popped up.
Allen: Can I call you?
She agreed without hesitation, needing to hear his voice.
Bella: Sure.
The phone rang, the sound almost jarring in the quiet of her room. She answered on the second ring.
"Hey," Allen's voice came through, warm and filled with concern. "How are you? Are you okay?"
Bella took a deep breath, trying to steady her racing heart. "I'm fine. Just... a bit shaken. I didn't expect that to happen."
There was a pause on the other end, and she could almost hear him gathering his thoughts. "I know it was unexpected," he finally said, his tone gentle. "Are you sure you're alright?"
"I am," she replied, her voice soft. "Just trying to wrap my head around it."
Allen hesitated, and she could sense his uncertainty. "Bella," he began, his voice tentative, "did you really... come? I mean... We did it in the game." His voice filled with uncertainty.
Bella's cheeks flushed, the embarrassment washing over her anew. She was silent for a moment, feeling the heat rise to her face. "Yes," she admitted finally, her voice barely above a whisper.
Allen shook his head, trying to dispel the swirling thoughts. He swallowed his curiosity and decided to push the matter to the back of his mind, at least for now. It could have been a coincidence, a fluke of the game's advanced technology. There was no point in overanalyzing it without more information.
Besides, if he wanted to discuss it further, he would need to talk to Bella first and get her consent. It was her experience, her body, and he didn't want to treat it like some sort of achievement or trophy.
But he had to admit, there was a strange sense of pride swelling inside him. Making a girl come without physically touching her was a different level of intimacy and skill, and it made him feel a connection to Bella that was both thrilling and profound. Yet, he knew he had to handle this delicately, with respect and understanding.
Allen turned to glance at the clock on his desk. "Right, dinner time," he murmured to himself. The familiar routine of daily life was a comforting anchor in the midst of his turbulent thoughts. He stood up, stretching slightly, trying to shake off the lingering tension.
He made his way to the bathroom, feeling the need to gather himself before heading to dinner. He stood in front of the mirror, staring at his reflection. His eyes were a bit wider than usual, his expression a mix of residual arousal and the deep thoughts that had occupied his mind. He splashed cold water on his face, hoping to cool down the lingering heat from the intense gaming session.
The cold water was refreshing. He scrubbed his face with his hands, trying to wash away the remnants of his emotions. Once again he looked back into the mirror and saw a more composed version of himself staring back. He adjusted his hair, straightened his shirt, and took a deep breath.
He needed to be presentable, not just for dinner, but to face his family without the distraction of his earlier thoughts.
Leaving the bathroom, Allen walked towards the dining room. He didn't know if his dad was home yet, but he expected to see Emma and Azura. As he neared the dining room, the familiar sounds of soft conversation reached his ears.
Stepping into the room, he saw Emma and Azura sitting at the table. Emma was engaged in light conversation with Azura, who was scrolling through her phone.
Once Allen approached the dining table, he noticed that Emma and Azura both looked up simultaneously, their gazes locking onto his. There was a brief, awkward silence. Their last encounter had left an unspoken undercurrent of unease between them. But Allen decided to maintain a sense of normalcy.
"Hey, guys," he greeted them with a smile, attempting to break the tension.
Emma and Azura both responded with shy, hesitant smiles. Emma looked away quickly, her cheeks slightly flushed. Azura gave a small nod, her usual confident demeanor replaced by a hint of awkwardness.
"Hey, Allen," Emma replied softly, her eyes darting back to her empty plate.
"Hi, Allen," Azura added, her voice equally subdued.
Allen took his seat at the table, trying to act as if everything was perfectly normal. He reached for the water pitcher and poured himself a glass, taking a long sip to steady himself.
"So, how was your day?" Allen asked, directing his question to both of them in an attempt to steer the conversation into safe territory.
Emma looked up briefly, her eyes meeting his for a moment before she spoke. "It was okay."
Allen raised one of his eyebrows. "Just okay?" he asked, demanding more explanation.
Emma nodded and bit her lips. Her hesitation was clear from her face. "Yeah," she said simply.
