"Let's see," the staff member said, moving gracefully along the display case. "If you're unsure about her preferences, perhaps a variety would be best. We have a new line of éclairs that are getting a lot of attention. They come in classic flavors like chocolate and vanilla, but also more unique ones like passion fruit and matcha."
Allen's gaze followed her hand as she pointed to the elegant éclairs. "Those look amazing. I think a variety would be a good idea. "
"We also have a berry tart that's quite popular. It's a mix of fresh strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries on a creamy custard base, all on a buttery crust. It's both beautiful and delicious," the staff member suggested.
Allen smiled, feeling more reassured. "That sounds perfect. I'll take a slice of pistachio rose cake, a few of the éclairs in different flavors, and a berry tart."
"Excellent choices," she said, already moving to assemble his order. "Would you like anything else? Perhaps something for yourself?"
Allen shook his head. "No, I think this should do it."
The staff member nodded understandingly as she carefully placed the delicate pastries into a beautifully decorated box.
Kai's response was equally subtle. He glanced down, his hand moving as if he were holding an invisible phone and typing a message. The gesture was so slight that Emma and Azura didn't notice, but Allen understood immediately. They were displeased because they had found out about his morning routine – the gym and then Larissa's place.
Allen's frown grew more pronounced. He tilted his head slightly, silently asking Kai why this was an issue. Emma knew about his relationship with Larissa, so why were they upset now?
Kai's response was a small shrug, indicating that he didn't know the full details either.
Emma, noticing the brief but silent exchange between Allen and Kai, narrowed her eyes slightly. "So, you decided to skip breakfast with the family for the gym and a visit to Larissa?" she asked, her voice cool and controlled.
Allen cleared his throat, trying to maintain his composure. "I just thought I'd get an early workout in and then visit Larissa. I saw a nice pastry shop on the way home and brought these pastries for both of you. I hope you guys enjoy it," he said, offering up the box.
Emma glanced at the box in Allen's hand, her eyes narrowing slightly. A smirk tugged at the corners of her mouth, her expression filled with a blend of arrogance and amusement. "Do you think that's enough to bribe us?" she asked, her voice cold and imperious. The haughty tone almost made Allen laugh; it seemed so out of place for her.

Allen couldn't help but smirk back. "If you don't want it, then I'll just eat it myself in my room," he said casually, lifting the box slightly as if to emphasize his point.
