Villain Ch 804. Please Don’t Die for Me

"Wait, there’s no quest at all?" Alice’s voice echoed through the eerie silence of the catacombs, her frustration palpable in every word. She scanned the dimly lit corridors, her brow furrowed in confusion, searching for any sign of the elusive quest they had been seeking.

"I told you don’t expect anything," Bella let out a frustrated huff, her footsteps faltering as she trudged along behind the group. The oppressive atmosphere of the catacombs weighed heavily on her, and she longed to escape the suffocating darkness that surrounded them. The presence of the Grudge monster only added to her discomfort, its grotesque form sending a shiver down her spine.

Allen offered a glimmer of hope amidst the uncertainty. "Maybe we haven’t triggered it yet," he suggested, his voice tinged with uncertainty. Despite his attempt to remain positive, doubt lingered in the back of his mind.

"Well, if this place doesn’t have any quests, that’s no problem either. The loot is pretty good after all. Not to mention the EXP," Jane remarked casually, her tone betraying her nonchalant attitude. She strolled through the catacombs with an air of tranquility as if she walked in the park, seemingly unfazed by the absence of quests.

Larissa, on the other hand, couldn’t hide her disappointment. "But if there’s no quest, there’s probably no treasure here," she lamented, her voice tinged with a hint of sadness. Though she tried to downplay it, the prospect of missing out on potential treasures weighed heavily on her mind.

Shea furrowed her brow as she examined the intricate patterns adorning the walls. "Also, with all those story patterns, it’s strange that they didn’t put any quest at all," she mused aloud, her analytical nature kicking into overdrive as she tried to unravel the mystery of the catacombs.

But amidst the whirlwind of emotions swirling within her, Bella found herself grappling with a sudden urge to express her gratitude and affection towards Allen. She wanted to show him just how much his kindness meant to her, but she was unsure of how to convey it in a way that felt genuine and heartfelt.

In a spontaneous moment of courage, Bella reached out and hugged Allen’s hand tightly, her eyes sparkling with sincerity. "No, it’s fine. Let me do it! I would die for you!" she exclaimed, her words brimming with genuine emotion.

Though her declaration may have seemed bold and dramatic, Bella’s sentiment was unmistakably genuine. In that fleeting moment, she was overcome with a deep sense of affection and admiration for Allen, and she wanted him to know just how much he meant to her.

That made Allen hold back his cringe. A similar mix of amusement and exasperation reflected on the others’ faces.

"Please don’t die for me. Also, that monster is only level 120 and we already know how to deal with it," Allen reminded Bella, his tone tinged with a hint of concern.

But Bella only tightened her grip on Allen’s hand, her eyes shimmering with unwavering determination. Leaning closer to him, she spoke with a fervor that caught Allen off guard. "I know. But since I love you, I will face it," she declared, her words ringing with sincerity.

Alice let out an exasperated sigh, shaking her head in disbelief. "It seems you just broke her mind, Allen," she remarked, reaching out to playfully tug at Bella’s tails. "Okay, okay. Since you want to protect him, let’s go to the front row with me," Alice said, her tone laced with a hint of exhaustion. Without mercy, Alice pulled Bella forward.

"Hieee!" Bella let out a high-pitched squeal, her hands clinging tightly to Allen’s arm as she was dragged along.
