Villain Ch 770. Why She's Here?

Arcana's frown deepened as he voiced his discontent with the proposed hunting grounds. "Why orc territory? That place is lame," he remarked, his tone tinged with disdain. "Mutant Island sounds better, but there are almost no mobs there," he added, his dissatisfaction evident in his words.@@@@

Red_King turned his attention to Allen, seeking an explanation for his choice of hunting grounds. "Why did you choose those places when you had so many other choices?" he inquired, a puzzled expression crossing his face as he awaited Allen's response.

Allen met their questioning gazes with a flat stare, his expression betraying his frustration at their lack of understanding. "But we were just two of us who was planning on going together, remember?" he reminded them pointedly, his tone firm as he sought to clarify their intentions.

He emphasized that he had only intended to go alone with Azura, and their sudden interest in joining his hunt had thrown off his original plans.

Arcana cringed slightly at Allen's words, realizing the oversight in their assumption that Allen would be open to hunting in a group.

Red_King scratched his head in realization, acknowledging Allen's point. "You have a point," he conceded, his tone reflecting his understanding of the situation. "You know, it was us who wanted to join his hunt, so... he should be the one to decide," Red_King concluded, deferring to Allen and recognizing his right to make the final decision.

Arcana's gaze shifted towards Allen, anticipation evident in his eyes as he posed the question, "Do you still want to hunt there?" His curiosity hung heavy in the air, awaiting Allen's response.

To be honest, Sophia had hesitated before logging back into the game after the previous incident in Ront City. The event had left her shaken, and she had questioned whether it was worth subjecting herself to further conflict and hostility. However, when she stumbled upon the thread detailing Allen's epic battle with the emperor, something inside her stirred.

In that moment, Sophia felt a surge of determination wash over her. She wanted to witness the events firsthand, to be there for Allen in whatever capacity she could – even if it meant simply offering him healing support after the fight. But as she arrived at the scene, she realized she was too late.

Father^Alex had already tended to Allen's wounds, leaving Sophia feeling helpless and unable to intervene. All she could do was watch from a distance, her heart heavy with regret as she silently observed the group, unable to muster the courage to approach them.

Once the group drew closer, Sophia braced herself for whatever interaction might transpire. Her heart raced with anticipation, her mind swirling with thoughts of how she might approach them, how she might finally make her presence known once again. But to her dismay, they simply passed by without so much as a glance in her direction.

Sophia stood there, stunned and bewildered, as the group continued on their way towards the village's gate. It was as if she was invisible, a mere spectator in their world. She watched in silence as they walked away, her sense of isolation deepening with each step they took.

Turning to face the retreating figures, Sophia felt a pang of disappointment wash over her. She had been prepared for interaction, for acknowledgment, but instead, she was left feeling overlooked and insignificant.

It was a strange reversal of roles – usually, it was she was the one who left the others behind and moved forward, but this time, she was the one who fell behind while everyone else followed Allen.

Unable to shake the feeling of rejection, Sophia's mind raced with questions. Why hadn't they acknowledged her presence? Or worse, did they simply not care?

She watched them disappear into the distance, she couldn't help but feel a sense of loneliness wash over her.
