Chapter 758 A Real Piece of Work

Villain Ch 758. A Real Piece of Work

Azura's casual tone masked the intensity of her thoughts as she broached the topic. "Seriously, your luck couldn't get any worse," she remarked with a cringe, recalling the details she had stumbled upon in the gaming forums. "I mean, it's all over the forum. You challenged this dude to a duel, right? And you totally wiped the floor with him, humiliating him in front of everyone.

It was like something out of a movie," she added, her voice tinged with a mixture of awe and amusement.

Azura couldn't help but wonder about Allen's reaction. She had read between the lines, piecing together the puzzle of his identity, and now she was determined to confirm her suspicions.

"Red_King didn't waste a second," she continued, her tone casual despite the gravity of the situation. "He booted the guy from the guild and put out a statement, clearing your name," she said calmly, her eyes fixed on Allen, searching for any sign of recognition or reaction.

Beneath her composed exterior, Azura's mind raced with questions and calculations. She knew Allen couldn't just come out and admit to being the devil emperor – that would be too easy. Instead, she was banking on a slip-up, a subtle hint, something that would confirm her suspicions without raising his guard.@@@@

She knew she was playing a dangerous game, toeing the line between curiosity and deception, but she was willing to take the risk if it meant uncovering the truth.

Allen let out a huff, a dry smile tugging at the corners of his lips as he responded to Azura's recounting of the incident. "Yeah, that guy was a real piece of work," he admitted with a shake of his head. "Not content with just impersonating me, he had to go and milk it for all it was worth," he added, irritation lacing his voice.

Azura decided to probe Allen for information. She had a few questions swirling in her head, and she was curious to see how he would respond. "oh, right. Did you watch my fight with the emperor yesterday?" Azura asked, trying to bait Allen into revealing something. "Someone uploaded the footage on the forum, and it caused quite a stir. I'm sure you saw it too," she added, hoping to gauge his reaction.

Allen remained unfazed, his expression calm and composed. "Yes, I saw that," he replied casually, not giving away much. He could sense Azura's attempt to corner him, but he was prepared for it. He knew she was trying to extract information from him, but he was determined not to give anything away.

Despite his calm demeanor, Allen's mind was racing. He knew he had to tread carefully, to choose his words wisely.

"That was my first experience fighting the emperor at close range," Azura began, her voice tinged with a mix of excitement and apprehension. She paused, glancing at Allen, her eyes searching for any hint of recognition or reaction. "It was really stressful," she continued, her tone softening as she recalled the intensity of the battle.

Then, without beating around the bush, she went straight to the point. "But strangely, his fighting style reminds me of you."

Allen's heart skipped a beat as Azura's words hit him like a bolt of lightning. He felt a surge of panic rising within him, knowing that Azura was onto something. Her accusation hung in the air and he could feel her gaze boring into him, demanding an answer.

Before Allen could respond, a sudden disturbance shattered the tense moment. A cold voice, chilling and unmistakable, echoed from above. "Demonic Lance," it commanded, sending shivers down Allen's spine. His mind raced as he tried to make sense of what was happening. That voice—it couldn't be. It was his voice, the voice he used as the devil emperor, but it should have been exclusive to him.

How could someone else be using it?
