Chapter 121 The Gray Knight
Chapter 121 The Gray Knight
Russell charged quickly toward the boar king, who turned tail and ran in fright. But Russell wasn't about to let it get away. He caught up with the boar king, flipped over and mounted it, then raised his fist and punched the boar king in the head.
The seemingly light punch made the boar king scream in agony. Russell grabbed one ear with each hand and pulled it back forcefully, then said viciously: Obey me, or die!
Left with no other choice, the Wild Boar King had to submit to Russell.
The mechanical cavalry were dumbfounded by this scene. Was this Radiant Warrior still a human? He had tamed a giant boar king just like that.
Although the Wild Boar King was not as tall as the mechanical warhorse, it was more than three times their size, and only a behemoth like the Wild Boar King could lift Russell up.
"Now I have a mount too, let's go together," Russell said with a grin, riding the Boar King.
The captain, speechless for a moment, said: "Alright! Let's move forward."
A dozen or so mechanical cavalrymen and one unusual wild boar cavalryman charged into the distance together.
Soon they encountered a group of enemies, about several hundred thugs, who were rampaging like headless flies. Killing unarmed civilians no longer gave them any pleasure; they needed to kill more powerful enemies to be satisfied, and the mechanical cavalry that had appeared was undoubtedly the best choice.
“Let me handle this, you all step back,” Russell roared.
The mechanical cavalry quickly parted to make way for Russell to rush through.
The thugs stood there dumbfounded at the sight before them; they had never seen boar cavalry before.
The huge and powerful wild boar was like a heavy bulldozer; any thugs who dared to stand in its way were smashed and sent flying in all directions.
Russell continued to wield the Bloodthirster, slaying one thug after another.
"Charge!" Under the command of the mechanical cavalry captain, the mechanical cavalrymen launched their charge.
In other words, a single charge scatters hundreds of thugs, and all but those who escape are killed.
Russell even rode on top of the Boar King and laughed heartily.
His joy didn't last long. A huge change was taking place in the sky. A massive crack was torn open, and streaks of black lightning descended from the sky. Then, a huge pentagram appeared in the sky, perfectly corresponding to the pentagram on the ground.
The Khorne "demon" tore through the warp and reappeared in the physical universe.
A "bloodletter" appeared before Russell and his companions.
The demons of Khorne are all very powerful warriors, and although the Bloodletters are low-ranking demons, they are extremely powerful in combat.
The mechanical cavalry had no idea what the strange person who had suddenly appeared in front of them was.
He was a scout, clad in simple brass plate armor, with a long, blood-red tongue hanging from his bizarrely twisted face, and wielding a flaming greatsword.
A mechanical cavalryman charged toward the Bloodletter, thrusting his sharp lightning spear forward.
With a sharp roar, the Bloodletter brandished its flaming greatsword and slashed at the mechanical cavalry, completely ignoring the spears that were thrust at it.
The lightning spear pierced the Bloodletter's chest, and the Bloodletter's flaming greatsword cleaved the mechanical cavalry in two.
The Bloodletter, whose body was pierced by the spear, charged wildly at the rest of the mechanical cavalry as if he had not been hurt.
"Aim at their heads! Only then can you harm the demons!" Russell roared.
The Bloodletter charged into the mechanical cavalry with incredible speed and hacked wildly, quickly cutting more than a dozen mechanical cavalrymen to pieces.
After killing all the mechanical cavalry, the Bloodletter set his sights on Russell.
The wild boar king was so frightened that it retreated repeatedly.
The Bloodletter roared once more and charged toward Russell.
Russell quickly jumped off the boar king, and the giant sword burning with flames pierced deep into the boar king's body, causing the boar king to let out a shrill scream of pain.
Russell brandished the Blood Drinker and slashed at the Bloodletter.
He must go all out to defeat the demon in the fastest way possible.
Although Russell was fast enough, the Bloodletter Demon was even faster.
The Blood Drinker slammed his sword down on the flaming greatsword.
The bloodletter uttered a strange syllable, which Russell did not understand. Of course, he didn't care; all he had to do now was kill the demon before him.
Russell roared and brandished the Blood Drinker, launching a most frenzied attack on the demon.
The Bloodletter seemed very afraid of Russell's weapon and kept dodging, not even daring to clash with it.
If this continues, the person performing the bloodletting will be in a very passive position.
Fortunately, this passive situation did not last long. A bloodletter appeared and immediately attacked Russell.
Under the combined attack of the two flaming greatswords, Russell immediately became very passive, barely managing to hold on by parrying left and right.
Soon, the third and fourth Bloodletters appeared, but they didn't seem to target Russell; instead, they quickly ran off to find other enemies.
As the warp rift widened and more and more Khorne demons descended from the sky, Russell was immediately surrounded by them.
"It's over!" When Russell realized he was surrounded by Khorne demons, he felt that he would die here today unless something unexpected happened.
But the accident happened soon.
A silver space capsule fell from the sky and crashed straight into Russell's group.
The space capsule crashed heavily onto the floor, and a holy knight wielding a powered halberd stepped out.
Russell glanced at the newcomer and felt even more certain that he was doomed today; it was none other than the "Grey Knight," the great enemy of the demons.
The Khorne demons also discovered their great enemy and roared as they swarmed toward the Grey Knight, intending to overwhelm the holy knight.
The Grey Knight raised the Halberd of Namses and shouted, "For the Emperor!"
The powerful psionic energy began to spread wildly from the tip of the Halberd of Namses, turning all the Khorne demons, whether powerful or weak, into ashes as soon as they were enveloped by the psionic energy.
This resulted in the deaths of tens of thousands of Khorne demons.
There were no more demons around Russell, and a clearing had been created.
"That's incredible!" Russell exclaimed.
He had heard the legends of the Grey Knights, and today he finally saw just how powerful these legendary messengers of the emperor and holy warriors truly were.
A dozen or so Skull Crushers riding Steel Bulls charged toward the Gray Knight.
These were all powerful warriors of the Khorne demons, but they were nothing compared to the Grey Knights.
The Grey Knight leaped into the air, his Namses halberd spinning wildly.
He was too fast; Russell couldn't see him clearly at all. He only saw a few flashes of silver light as the powerful skull crushers were all reduced to fragments.
