Chapter 896 Brother Complex?
Villain Ch 896. Brother Complex?
Azura fell silent, her eyes dropping to the floor as she processed her own guilt. "I should apologize to him too," she muttered sadly. She realized that her behavior had crossed boundaries, violating Allen's privacy several times. By helping Emma with her plan, she knew she was just as guilty.
As if on cue, they both took a deep breath, the weight of their actions settling heavily on their shoulders. The silence between them was thick, laden with regret and a shared determination to make things right.
After a while, Azura spoke again, unable to bear the idea of holding back any longer. "Should we talk to him now?" she suggested, her voice tinged with urgency.
Emma shook her head, her voice still lackluster. "We'll talk to him this evening," she said.
"Why?" Azura asked, surprised. Wasn't the sooner the better?
Emma turned to her, her eyes reflecting a rare moment of clarity. "We should at least allow Allen and us to calm down first. All of us still have the same emotions as before. We will screw it up for sure and it will end badly," she explained.
Azura held back a cringe, knowing Emma was right. But she couldn't help but retort, "You are smart, but why, when it comes to Allen, can't you control your emotions?"
Emma paused, Azura's words making her think deeply about her behavior and feelings. She hugged her knees tighter, her mind swirling with confusion and self-reflection. "I don't know," she said finally, her voice still lacking enthusiasm. It was a quiet admission of her inner turmoil, the vulnerability evident in her tone.
"I don't understand either," she added, feeling the weight of her confusion bearing down on her.
Emma's thoughts drifted back to the past few months, to all the moments she had shared with Allen. Each memory brought a mix of emotions—frustration, excitement, and something deeper, something she struggled to identify. "Maybe I was too excited," she said, trying to piece together her feelings.
She had always been the center of attention, the one in control. But Allen had changed the dynamic, introducing a new complexity into her life. He was independent, self-sufficient, and didn't bend easily to her will. His resistance had stirred something in her, a mix of admiration and a desperate need to connect with him.
The intensity of these new emotions had driven her to act out, to push boundaries in ways she never had before.
Azazel: Just meet me in the throne room, okay? Or maybe we can talk while grinding if you guys are in the middle of it.
Grimora: We are in the middle of hunting but it's fine. We'll return to base now.
Azazel: No. Just tell me where.
Eira: The dungeon in the middle of Debaris City.
Allen frowned as he read the message.
Azazel: Isn't that place crowded with players?
Lullaby: Yes. But the ones that are most popular are 1F, 2F, and 3F. We are in the 2nd basement.
Allen's curiosity was piqued as he typed his next question.
Azazel: What kind of monsters did you fight there?
Grimora: Insects. They give good EXP and loot.
Azazel: Okay, wait for me there. I'll be there soon.
Allen walked into the portal room, his mind a mixture of anticipation and residual irritation from the day's earlier events. He selected the portal to Debaris City. His avatar was transported to the entrance of the dungeon. Since he had never been there before, he could only open the portal at the entrance, not directly to the basement where his companions were.
This meant he had to navigate through crowds of players to reach his destination.
Instead of feeling daunted, Allen welcomed the challenge. The prospect of navigating through throngs of players and battling his way to the basement was a perfect outlet for the emotions and annoyance that had built up within him.
