Chapter 895 Will He Hate Me?
Chapter 895 Will He Hate Me?
Villain Ch 895. Will He Hate Me?
Azura couldn't hide her surprise. Emma, who had come up with the plan, who had always been so confident and assertive, was now reduced to tears. The sobs were raw, filled with a deep-seated emotion that Azura had never seen her cousin express before.
"Emma, are you crying?" Azura asked in disbelief, her voice soft and filled with concern. She reached out, her hand landing gently on Emma's shoulder.
Emma didn't respond immediately, her sobs continuing to shake her frame. It was strange, seeing Emma like this. It was Emma who had been so determined, so convinced that their plan would work. But now, she was the one breaking down.
But Emma didn't answer. Her sobs continued, each one a muffled cry of anguish that tore at Azura's heart. Azura shook Emma's body gently, trying to coax her out of her emotional cocoon. "Emma, answer me," she pleaded, her voice tinged with worry. But still, Emma remained silent, her face hidden in the protective barrier of her knees and arms.
Desperate to reach her, Azura tried to pry Emma's hands away from her knees and lift her head. She tugged gently but firmly, but Emma resisted, her body remaining curled into a tight ball of misery. Azura felt a surge of frustration, tempered by her deep concern for her cousin.
Then, suddenly, Emma spoke. Her voice was a muffled whisper, barely audible over the sound of her sobs. "Azura... I'm afraid Allen will hate me," she said, her words laced with fear and vulnerability.
Azura huffed in annoyance, her patience wearing thin. She reached out and cradled Emma's head with both hands, gently but firmly making her look up. "Apologize for upsetting him," Azura said firmly, her eyes locking onto Emma's with a resolute gaze.
It was then that Azura fully took in the state of Emma's face. Her cousin's cheeks were streaked with tears, her eyes red and swollen. The sight of Emma, always so composed and confident, reduced to this state was a shock. "Oh my God, you're really crying," Azura said, her voice filled with disbelief and a touch of pity. This was the first time she had ever seen Emma cry so openly, so vulnerably.
Emma pushed Azura's hands away in dissatisfaction, a frown deepening on her tear-streaked face. Normally, she had too much pride to let anyone see her in this condition, but right now, she didn't care. She was sulking again, her emotions a tangled mess of anger, confusion, and regret.
"But didn't he start first?" Emma muttered, her voice petulant and defensive.
Azura cringed at the question, her frustration bubbling up again. "Maybe yes, but your method is wrong. You can't just push him around like that," she said, trying to keep her tone gentle but firm. "He's used to living independently, alone and without anyone controlling him. If he left this mansion, he would still be able to support himself. No one can order him around."
Emma's eyes flickered with a mix of anger and uncertainty. She had always been surrounded by people who were submissive to her will. Her father, Jordan, spoiled her, catering to her every need and whim. And with her intelligence, she had grown accustomed to getting her way, her authority rarely challenged. Allen's resistance was something entirely new to her, something she didn't know how to handle.
"Now we demand this and that from him, it certainly bothers him," Azura continued, explaining how Allen's situation was different. "He's not like the others. He values his autonomy, his ability to make his own decisions without interference. That's something you need to respect."
Emma's frown deepened, her thoughts racing. She had approached Allen the same way she handled everyone else in her life, expecting him to fall in line. But he hadn't. He had pushed back, and that resistance had thrown her off balance. She hadn't considered how her actions might affect him, how her attempts to control the situation might drive a wedge between them.
